About The Doctor

M. BrundrettDr. Brundrett graduated in 1991 from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio, Texas. She is a native Houstonian and has been practicing in the Champions area for 20  years. In 2004, she received the highly regarded Fellowship Award from The Academy of General  Dentistry. This award requires a dentist to have an extensive number of approved continuing education hours (500) and successfully Melissa Brundrettpass a comprehensive examination demonstrating competence in the application of accepted dental knowledge, techniques and procedures.

She has completed five continuums at the prestigious L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Miami, Florida. Each continuum consists of a week long curriculum of lectures and hands on clinical exercises. In addition, she has attended courses given by Dr. Peter Dawson, the founder of The Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Dawson is considered one of the most influential clinicians and teachers in the history of dentistry.


Dr. Brundrett enjoys playing the piano and making custom jewelry. She competes in Agility with her two Golden Retrievers, Hogan and Nicklaus. In addition to the many titles her Golden's have achieved they each have their CGC (Canine Good Citizen) Award through the AKC (American Kennel Club). This allows her to do animal assisted therapy. She has volunteered in the BAK-PAK Reading Program for the Cy-Fair school district with Hogan (a real hero!). She also volunteers with Faithful Paws, an animal assisted therapy organization here in Houston.
